Each challenge will force students to read carefully to find the answers. Answer sheets and Escape Room coupons for winners are also included.

THE CHALLENGE:

Jake, a determined swimmer on his school swim team, had a burning goal: to shave just one second off his best time in the 100-meter freestyle. Day after day, he practiced with determination and focus. Yet, despite his relentless dedication and effort, it seemed impossible to break that barrier.

Then one evening, as the rain tapped gently against the window, Jake sat in front of the TV, watching the Summer Olympics. As he watched, he couldn’t help but admire the world’s top swimmers, noticing their flawless technique, powerful strokes, and incredible speed. Suddenly, during a commercial break, an interview caught his attention. It featured a tech company that had developed advanced training tools designed to help athletes improve their performance.

Intrigued and inspired, Jake leaned closer to the screen. Maybe, just maybe, the key to his success wasn’t swimming harder—but smarter. However, there was one big problem: Jake didn’t have access to expensive, high-tech gadgets, and his coach wasn’t interested in exploring new technology.

That’s where you come in. Jake needs your help to figure out which piece of technology will finally help him cut that elusive second off his time. By carefully analyzing the clues and thinking like a true problem-solver, you’ll uncover the best option to help him break through his swimming plateau.

“Jake can use a _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ to escape the swimming plateau!”

To reveal the answer, you’ll need to use a four-digit code. Read the passage that follows, complete the Four Challenges, and then unlock the final code to discover the hidden solution.
